The federation emphasizes that the mental and psychological health of Moroccan citizens is a fundamental and human right, guaranteed by international human rights conventions and the Constitution of the Kingdom of Morocco.The federation stresses the importance of scientific distinction between psychological specialties and requests that this distinction be guaranteed in the expected draft law on psychologists, and that specialized training and documented clinical training be required for the practice of clinical, neurological, and health specialties.The federation also expresses its great concern about the constant increase in the number of people suffering from mental and psychological illnesses in Morocco, and calls for serious and urgent investment in the training and qualification of specialized medical and psychological staff, as well as improving their professional conditions.The federation also requests legal recognition of psychologists and their right to full legal recognition, as well as an independent framework law protecting their professional existence.Finally, the federation emphasizes the importance of organizing serious national debates on the law relating to psychologists, and implementing laws related to the protection of personal data and cybercrimes.
