inDrive, a global mobility and delivery services platform, announces the rollout of new features on its passenger app in Morocco. These updates aim to provide more clarity at every stage of the ride, particularly regarding the proposed fares, estimated waiting time, and driver-related information.Developed based on user feedback, surveys, and usage analysis, these new features are part of a continuous improvement approach to the app experience.Better understanding of fare and waiting timeWith inDrive, passengers can propose their own fare for their ride, a principle at the core of the platform’s model. The platform connects passengers and drivers and does not set the final price. The recommended fare displayed in the app is a benchmark based on market conditions. A new color-coded indicator now makes it easier to understand the impact of the proposed amount: green indicates that it is close to the recommended fare and may help receive offers quickly, while orange signals that a lower amount may result in fewer offers and a longer waiting time.Passengers thus have, before confirming their request, better visibility to adjust their offer according to their priorities.More context during periods of high demandDuring periods of high demand, recommended fares may temporarily increase. The app now clearly indicates when this change is linked to a surge in demand. This information appears directly in the ride and fare details, allowing passengers to better understand the reason for the variation.Track driver search in real timeinDrive also introduces dynamic statuses on the search screen. The app notably displays the number of drivers available nearby as well as the number of drivers viewing the request.Passengers can thus more easily follow the progress of their search and know if their request is being reviewed.Correct a request rather than cancel itA cancellation can sometimes be related to an error in the pickup point, the choice of an unsuitable category, or a request created by mistake. The app now asks passengers to indicate the reason for cancellation and, when possible, offers an immediate solution. The pickup point or ride category can thus be corrected without having to restart the entire process.Greater visibility on driver verificationThe driver’s verification status is now more prominently highlighted in the app, particularly on the offer selection screen and on their profile during the ride. Before being able to accept rides, drivers go through a mandatory process including document verification, comparison between ID photo and profile photo, as well as vehicle inspection. AI-based systems are also used to analyze images and verify their compliance with inDrive’s rules. These checks continue after registration through periodic selfie verifications and the provision of new photos of the vehicle. The goal is to ensure that the person behind the wheel corresponds to the verified driver and that the vehicle used corresponds to the one registered on the platform. In case of anomaly, an additional verification may be triggered and access to the platform temporarily suspended until validated. Duplicate accounts or the use of multiple accounts from the same device may also result in blocking access to the platform.A more transparent experience for both partiesOn the occasion of the launch of these new features, Fatine Bennani, Country Representative of inDrive in Morocco, emphasizes that these developments illustrate inDrive’s desire to make daily trips simpler and more predictable, while strengthening transparency between platform users.”We are constantly listening to how users interact with our app in order to reduce uncertainties related to price, waiting time or driver verification. Our role is to facilitate the connection between passengers and drivers, by giving them the information they need to make their own decisions. Thanks to these new features, passengers have better visibility at each stage of their ride, while drivers can receive more relevant requests that are better adapted to market conditions,” says Fatine Bennani. These developments allow passengers to make their requests with more information, while giving drivers better visibility to decide whether they want to accept them. The ability to quickly correct certain information also helps reduce unnecessary cancellations, as well as wasted trips, time and fuel.About inDriveinDrive is a global mobility and connection platform, notably connecting passengers and drivers.
