Samsung Electronics announces the launch of Samsung Finance+ in Morocco, as part of a strategic partnership with SOFAC. The Kingdom thus becomes the first African country to benefit from this financing solution, already successfully deployed in India, Thailand, and Indonesia.Samsung Finance+ offers a new approach to facilitate access to premium mobile technologies. Since its initial launch in India, the program has provided consumers with transparent and flexible financing solutions, designed to reduce the obstacles traditionally associated with acquiring a smartphone. Its deployment in Morocco marks a new stage in its international development and allows Moroccan consumers to benefit from the experience gained in several markets. With this international deployment, Samsung Finance+ aims to contribute to expanding access to Galaxy smartphones in Morocco. Thanks to flexible and accessible financing solutions, the program supports consumers in their essential uses, including online learning, daily professional activities, and access to digital services. The launch in Morocco also has a scope that goes beyond the Kingdom’s borders. By becoming the first African market to host Samsung Finance+, Morocco confirms its ability to adopt innovative financial solutions promoting accessibility and inclusion. This initiative illustrates the new possibilities for collaboration between technology companies and financial institutions to make the benefits of digital transformation accessible to the greatest number.Partnership with SOFAC at the heart of local deploymentThe innovative partnership with SOFAC, a multi-financial group solidly established in the consumer credit sector in Morocco, is the foundation for offering this accessible financing model to Moroccan consumers. Thanks to this collaboration, Samsung Finance+ goes beyond conventional credit solutions to serve both banked and unbanked customers, including those who do not have formal employment proof.A program that tackles persistent credit obstaclesSamsung Finance+ addresses a major issue in emerging markets: facilitating access to premium smartphones for a greater number of consumers. While traditional financing solutions generally require numerous documents, verification of formal employment, and an established credit history, Samsung Finance+ offers a simplified digital process allowing a response in about 20 minutes*, subject to acceptance of the credit application by SOFAC.The customer journey begins in Samsung stores and authorized partner points of sale throughout the country, where trained advisors accompany applicants throughout the process. Rather than submitting stacks of paper documents, customers digitize their supporting documents directly via the Samsung Finance+ mobile application. The system relies on digital verification based on the National Identity Card, using the “Mon identité numérique” application from DGSN, to assess eligibility quickly and securely.Electronic signatures replace traditional contracts, creating a fully dematerialized experience from application to approval. Flexibility defines the program’s structure. Moroccan consumers can choose installment payment plans extending up to 36 months, with monthly payments starting from only 100 MAD/month. Financing conditions are customized based on the individual profile, justifying employment or not, banked or unbanked, and credit history, ensuring that offers match each customer’s financial capacity. This customization extends access to smartphones beyond those who can afford a cash payment, opening the way for premium devices for students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and families. Security has been integrated at every level of the system. Samsung’s Knox Guard technology protects both consumers and the financial partner through advanced device management capabilities. The technology incorporates fraud prevention measures and allows device locking in case of payment default, creating a sustainable financing model capable of serving more customers over time while preserving transaction integrity.Smartphones, an economic infrastructureThe impact of Samsung Finance+ goes beyond individual transactions. In markets where the program is operational, it has expanded access to premium devices and created new entry points for consumers joining the smartphone ecosystem. The program recognizes that smartphones have evolved from simple communication devices to essential tools for economic participation, access to education, and social connection. For Morocco, Samsung Finance+ arrives at a time when digital transformation and financial inclusion are national priorities. The program aligns with broader initiatives to expand access to financial services while bringing tangible benefits to Moroccan consumers in their daily lives. By removing traditional obstacles to smartphone acquisition, Samsung Finance+ enables more people to access the digital tools that connect them to opportunities in education, employment, and entrepreneurship.Deployment across the distribution networkLaunched on February 2, 2026, Samsung Finance+ is available in Samsung stores and with authorized partners throughout Morocco. Customers wishing to acquire a Samsung Galaxy smartphone can go to participating points of sale to check their eligibility and discover the financing options offered. On site, trained advisors accompany them throughout the application process, present the applicable conditions, and help them choose the smartphone best suited to their needs. An app offering total loan visibilityThe program is based on principles of transparency and customer empowerment. Applicants receive clear information on interest rates, payment schedules, and total costs before committing to financing. The Samsung Finance+ mobile app, which customers download after purchase, offers continuous visibility on their loan status, upcoming payments, and repayment history. This transparency helps customers manage their budget effectively while building a positive credit history through regular payments.Expanding access beyond traditional credit modelsSamsung Finance+ pursues a clear objective: making Samsung smartphones accessible to a greater number of consumers. By simplifying the financing process, the program opens access to technologies that play an increasing role in participation in the digital economy. In Morocco, this initiative could facilitate students’ access to online learning resources, enable professionals and entrepreneurs to have tools adapted to their activities, and help families stay connected while benefiting from the possibilities offered by digital services.About Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.Samsung inspires the world and shapes the future with transformative ideas and technologies.
