How inDrive Reinforces Ride Safety in Morocco through Artificial Intelligence

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, is deploying a range of AI-powered security technologies in Morocco to prevent fraud, protect users, and strengthen trust on the platform. These solutions aim to prevent incidents before they occur, while ensuring better protection for both passengers and drivers. As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance preventive security, inDrive has developed a comprehensive ecosystem designed to combat fraud, protect users throughout their journey, and preserve the confidentiality of their personal data.To prevent fraud and misuse of accounts before a trip even begins, inDrive combines several control technologies, including AI-assisted verification, passenger identity verification through real-time selfie, and the use of verified profile photos. The AI-powered verification compares drivers’ profile photos with real-time selfies to confirm their identity. Passengers may also be asked to confirm their identity by taking a real-time selfie. This verification ensures that the account is being used by its legitimate owner, reducing the risk of fraud and unauthorized use.During the trip, users also benefit from several safety tools directly accessible from the app, including real-time trip tracking, route sharing, adding trusted contacts, and an emergency button. The platform also analyzes trips to detect any unusual activity and can send alerts or verification messages as needed to ensure users are safe.To better preserve user confidentiality, passengers and drivers can communicate via secure calls integrated into the app, without having to share their personal phone numbers. This feature provides an additional level of protection when using the platform.Commenting on inDrive’s ongoing investments in security, Fatine Bennani Meziane, representative of inDrive in Morocco, said: “At inDrive, we believe that the future of security lies in prevention, not just reaction. By continuously investing in AI-powered verification and proactive security technologies, we’re helping to prevent incidents before they happen, while strengthening the trust of passengers and drivers with every use of our platform.”Fatine Bennani Meziane also emphasized that security was an evolving process: “Security is never static. As risks evolve, the technologies designed to protect our community must also progress. We will continue to invest in smarter solutions, strengthen our security ecosystem, and collaborate closely with our users and local stakeholders to make every trip safer.”About inDriveinDrive is a global mobility and urban services platform.
