On Saturday, March 02, 2024, the Moroccan Association of Newspaper Publishers organized a national symposium at Mövenpick Hotel in Casablanca on the topic: “The Role of National Media in Serving the Issue of the Moroccan Sahara in the Face of International and National Developments.” Distinguished speakers, including Mr. Mustapha El Khalfi, former Minister of Communication, Abdellali Mestour, media and communication specialist, Amin Soussi Alaoui, expert in geopolitics and propaganda analysis, and Abdelhak El Sanaibi, expert in security and strategic affairs, contributed valuable insights to the event.
Participants in this national symposium discussed four main axes related to “The Roles of National Media in Serving the Sahara Issue,” alongside strategies to confront media distortion in the Sahara issue. They also explored effective media strategies to defend the national cause.
Attendees were briefed on the latest international and national developments in the issue of the Moroccan Sahara. The discussion also focused on the role and necessary contribution of national media in serving the strategic issues of the nation, foremost among them being the issue of the Moroccan Sahara. The symposium emphasized the vital role of civil society and the media family in remaining united behind His Majesty King Mohammed VI to continue serving this cause patriotically, as expected from Moroccans.
