The General Consulate of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid, Spain, organized a grand reception yesterday, Wednesday in Madrid, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of His Majesty King Mohammed VI’s ascension to the throne of his blessed ancestors.

This joyful event was presided over by the Kingdom’s Consul General, Kamal Arefi, in the presence of more than a hundred prominent personalities in Madrid. It highlighted the richness of Moroccan heritage and traditions and featured a documentary film showcasing Morocco’s achievements in various fields under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

On this occasion, the distinguished guests had the opportunity to reflect on the developmental path taken by Morocco through a documentary that highlighted a quarter-century of progress and socio-economic achievements realized in Morocco under the insightful vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

The guests, representing various segments of Moroccan and Spanish society, expressed their admiration for the hospitality and authenticity of the reception, as well as their warm congratulations and best wishes for prosperity to His Majesty the King and the Moroccan people.

They unanimously expressed their admiration for the modernization initiatives undertaken by Morocco during the twenty-five years of His Majesty the King’s reign, highlighting the pioneering role and exemplary stability of the Kingdom on the international stage, despite the turbulences of the regional and international context.

In his speech, the Moroccan Consul General emphasized the importance of this anniversary, thanking the organizers for their collaboration and assistance provided to the consulate and the embassy, which were essential to making the event happen in an optimal way, including hosting an artistic evening enlivened by Moroccan artists for the occasion.

The Moroccan Consul also emphasized the importance of the continuous commitment to strengthening ties between Morocco and its children abroad and the royal directives and special care of His Majesty towards his subjects abroad.

The ceremony also included a segment dedicated to honoring the sons and daughters of Morocco residing in Spain, highlighting the lawyers and engineers of the new generation who have significantly contributed in their fields.

This celebration saw the participation of Spanish authorities, representatives of the consular corps, institutional and economic actors, members of civil society, as well as representatives of religious communities and various social sectors, in addition to members of the Moroccan community.
