Roche Morocco is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Anis EL MEKAOUI as its new General Manager. In his new role, he will focus on advancing innovative healthcare solutions, strengthening strategic partnerships, and supporting the transformation of Morocco’s healthcare system to benefit patients. He succeeds Dr. Sanaa Sayagh, who was recently appointed to a leadership position at Roche in Indonesia.
With over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. EL MEKAOUI has recognized expertise in commercial strategy, sales, marketing, and medical affairs, acquired across various regions, including North Africa, the Middle East, and Central and Eastern Europe. A trained physician, he also holds a Master’s in Biopharmaceutical Management from the École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP-EAP, Paris).
At Roche Morocco, he has held key positions such as Director of Sales and Marketing and Director of Commercial Operations. In these roles, he has led strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing treatment access and accelerating healthcare innovation in Morocco. In addition to his new responsibilities, Dr. EL MEKAOUI is also the President of the Association Les Entreprises du Médicament au Maroc (LEMM), demonstrating his commitment to advancing the pharmaceutical sector in Morocco and fostering collaboration across the healthcare ecosystem.
