inDrive is reaffirming its commitment to user protection by hosting a major Safety Awareness Event in Morocco to foster transparent dialogue.
This initiative supports Morocco’s National Road Safety Strategy 2017–2026, which seeks to reduce traffic fatalities by 50% by promoting safer driving behaviors, enhancing user awareness, and encouraging shared responsibility among all road users. Through education, prevention, and collaboration with the Moroccan Federation of Consumer Rights Protection, inDrive contributes to advancing these national objectives and fostering a culture of safety in urban mobility.
As safety continues to be a critical concern in the Moroccan market, inDrive is taking decisive action to demonstrate accountability and care for its community. The event is designed to address recent reputational challenges head-on by educating users, empowering drivers, and highlighting the wide range of safety measures already in place.
For passengers, the event featured live demonstrations of inDrive’s in-app safety features, including trip sharing, emergency buttons, and real-time tracking. Attendees also received clear explanations of the vetting process for drivers, including background checks and criminal record verifications. Interactive booths and Q&A sessions were organized to foster open conversations, dispel misconceptions, and build long-term trust with users.
For drivers, both car and motorbike, the initiative included hands-on road safety training sessions aimed at promoting safer driving habits and better rider communication. To enhance visibility and reduce accidents, 100 helmets and 100 reflective vests were distributed to motorbike drivers free of charge. Drivers also took part in best practice workshops covering safe driving, passenger interaction, and incident prevention. First aid demonstrations were provided to prepare drivers for emergency situations, along with demonstrations of anti-burst wheel products designed to minimize accident risks from tire failures.
“We recognize the concerns that have been raised and are responding not with words, but with action,” said Fatine Bennani Meziane, inDrive Country Manager in Morocco and North Africa. She also added that “This event is about more than just optics—it’s about real, tangible steps toward a safer ride-sharing experience for everyone.”
inDrive remains committed to continuous improvement and collaborative engagement with stakeholders across Morocco. By taking safety seriously and listening to the voices of the public, the company aims to reshape perceptions and lead the way in building a more secure, user-friendly platform.
