The startup company Cata announces today the launch of a new price comparison engine on the internet based on artificial intelligence, which is the first of its kind in Morocco.
This startup company, founded by two former students of the 1337 programming school, digitizes paper supermarket catalogs and facilitates the purchasing process for consumers before going to the market.
Cata’s platform managed to attract more than 500k visitors per month in 10 Arab countries in a short time after the launch of its beta version.
The engine uses the innovative AI technology to ensure accuracy and quality of comparisons. The founders of the company Nabil and Ayoub say that they aim to save time and money for consumers in light of rising prices and inflation.
“We founded this startup company with the aim of facilitating the process of comparing prices and making informed purchasing decisions by consumers in light of rising prices.” The founders of the company Nabil and Ayoub say.
They add “We believe that by making supermarket catalogs digital and easily accessible, we can help consumers save time and money. Our goal is to expand our reach to more regions in the coming months, and help more people make smarter purchasing decisions.”
The platform’s user-friendly interface enables browsers to compare prices from different retailers in one place, as well as facilitates their access to thousands of products in three languages: Arabic, English and French, making it a one-stop station for all their purchasing needs.
Ayoub and Nabil say in this regard: “We are excited to see the impact of our platform on consumers.”
They confirmed that the team will continue to work on “improving and adding new features to the platform’s basic system to make it easier to use and accessible. We also look forward to continuing to serve customers and expand our reach to more regions in the future.”
