On the sidelines of GITEX Africa 2026 in Marrakech, GIZ and We4She announce the launch of a Call for Expression of Interest (AMI) aimed at supporting Moroccan companies in integrating gender equality into their DNA. This initiative is part of the INEFF project “Women’s Economic Inclusion in Future Sectors”, led by GIZ in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment and Skills, and the We4She network.Presented at the “Women Shaping the Future Economy” conference, this AMI is a concrete step in implementing actions to strengthen women’s place in Morocco’s strategic economic sectors. As Morocco undergoes profound changes driven by digitalization, energy transition, and industrial upgrading, mobilizing female talent is a major competitiveness lever. The program aims to select a first group of companies in these future sectors to support them in structuring and deploying ambitious gender equality initiatives. Selected companies will receive comprehensive support, including an in-depth diagnosis of their practices, tailored operational support to define and implement concrete actions, and financial support of up to 250,000 dirhams for implementing measures ranging from training to setting up company nurseries. The ambition is to anchor these transformations over time, equipping companies with adapted management and monitoring tools, while encouraging the emergence of exemplary practices nationwide. This launch is also based on the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between GIZ and We4She, formalizing a strategic partnership to accelerate gender equality in Morocco’s economy. Through this collaboration, the partners aim to act complementarily on company transformation, awareness-raising among economic actors, and creating a more inclusive environment.Companies interested in the Call for Expression of Interest are invited to consult the participation terms and submit their application on the dedicated platform: (link unavailable).
