Yango expands services in two new Cities, Rabat and Tangier, offering people more affordable and safe mobility solutions  in Morocco

  

The international ride-hailing service Yango, part of the global technology company Yango Group, arrived in the cities of Rabat and Tangier. This launch comes after Yango earlier launched in Casablanca in April 2023. 

Starting this month, residents of the two largest cities in Morocco have been able to download the app and choose one of the available ways to get around. Rides ordered via the app in both cities start from 9 Dirhams and as a launch offer, Yango is giving new passengers up to 20 percent off their first three rides. 

Yango mobile app for iOS and Android is available for free download in French, English, and many other languages. To order a ride, passengers download the app, open it and specify where they want to go. When geolocation is enabled, the service pinpoints where the user is and finds the nearby partners’ driver who will arrive the fastest. When a user orders a car, they input the destination address and the app algorithms automatically calculate the price of the trip ahead of time.

As for safety, passengers can use the app to share trip routes with family members and if necessary, contact emergency services via the app. There is a big need for such a service, and we believe that our clients there will appreciate the advantages of Yango,”  Shashi  added

All partners’ drivers and cars are verified before being added to the service. Our new passenger selfie feature now enables the user to upload a photo (from the library or to take a selfie) to the personal  account. This allows the driver to have the same privilege of viewing the profile of who they pickup. The user will also see the driver’s selfie for the same reasons. Before the trip, the drivers also have access to the user’s number of trips and ratings based on the feedback from the previous trips.  Other features are also available, like Multi-destination rides, buckle-up reminder in the beginning of the trip and route sharing with trusted family and friends in real time. Passengers also have a call center where they can ask questions or make suggestions, report an inconvenience, or even retrieve an object forgotten in the car.

For partners’ drivers, Yango also offers innovative operating and safety features, such as an alert for potentially dangerous areas, driving style and speed control features,  SOS button for emergencies, user photo and rating review and a 24/7 Support Centre.
