As part of strengthening joint efforts to combat violence against women, the first training session was launched, organized jointly by the Moroccan Judges Association and the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance. This pioneering initiative embodies an effective model of collaboration between national and international institutions, aiming to enhance the handling of cases of violence against women, in line with international standards and national legislation.
The training session brought together an elite group of judges and professionals working within the justice system. It focused on various themes, including understanding the psychological and social dimensions of violence against women, analyzing related national and international legal frameworks, and developing practical tools to enhance specific skills for addressing these sensitive issues.
This partnership is not merely a temporary collaboration but a strategic step toward building sustainable capacities and promoting values of equity and rights protection. The positive interaction of the participants highlighted the deep commitment to achieving justice for this group while considering their needs and preserving their dignity.
Through this initiative, the Moroccan Judges Association reaffirms its openness to cooperation with partner institutions and its belief that building a strong justice system requires the exchange of expertise and openness to pioneering practices. For its part, the Geneva Centre serves as a strategic partner in transferring best practices and providing the technical support necessary to achieve these noble objectives.
Protecting women from violence is a collective responsibility requiring everyone’s efforts. Such training sessions mark a significant milestone toward building a more just and equitable society.
