Mr. Kamal Arifi, Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid, confirms that the generalization of the electronic systems for appointment scheduling “Rendez-vous” and the electronic stamp “eTimbre” for electronic payment of consular fees in various diplomatic missions and consulates of the Kingdom is considered a resounding success, appreciated by the entire Moroccan community residing abroad.
Mr. Kamal Arifi, Consul General of the Kingdom of Morocco in Madrid, stated in a special statement that the implementation of the electronic appointment scheduling systems and the electronic stamp system for consular fee payment in all diplomatic missions and consulates of the Kingdom is carried out in accordance with royal instructions, and in line with the strategy adopted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad in the consular field, aiming to provide distinctive, modern, and high-quality consular services.
These two new electronic systems, Mr. Kamal Arifi adds, aim to “effectively manage appointments and alleviate the burden on Moroccan consulates abroad, while also providing the Moroccan community with the opportunity to benefit from consular services within a specified timeframe, by choosing appropriate times to visit consular offices”.
Since the implementation of these systems, this general consulate has recorded great satisfaction among all members of the Moroccan community, who praised these systems and did not hesitate to thank the efforts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad to ensure the quality of services provided to members of the Moroccan community, who also have new aspirations and high expectations comparable to major national projects underway in our country.
The Consul General affirmed that these two systems have contributed to enhancing trust between applicants and consular authorities, as well as improving the transparency of administrative transactions. They have also allowed members of the Moroccan community to smoothly benefit from consular services under appropriate reception conditions, in addition to reducing necessary delays, along with the quality of reception and service provided to them.
Regarding the General Consulate in Madrid, the appointment system has greatly contributed to definitively reducing congestion in front of the Kingdom’s General Consulate, allowing employees to devote more effort to optimal management of the reception space, and using modern communication technologies to improve consular services.
The diplomatic official added that this service is added to the range of services offered, such as the consular call center, mobile consulates, and open days, which primarily aim to bring the administration closer to the citizen and improve reception in favorable conditions, sometimes exceeding what is done in the host country.
