HH Princess Lalla Zineb, chairwoman of the Moroccan Child Protection League, chaired Wednesday in Rabat, a meeting of the ordinary General Assembly of the League, which was dedicated to the examination of the 2022 moral and financial report, and the auditor’s report for the same financial year, as part of the annual meetings to evaluate and monitor the League’s activities.
Welcoming the participants to this meeting, HH Princess Lalla Zineb praised the actions and projects carried out in favor of vulnerable children in the different regions of the Kingdom, expressing her sincere thanks to all the partners and donors for their constant support and their contribution to the achievement of the objectives, in accordance with the High Guidelines of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, aiming at the generalization of social protection to all segments of the population in need, the League said in a press release.
At the end of general discussions, the members of the Assembly unanimously approved the moral and financial report, the accounts for the financial year ending December 31, 2022 and the related resolutions.
The members of the Assembly also participated in debates focused on the role of the League in promoting the schooling of children deprived of a family environment, the implementation of the 2024-2030 strategic program of the League and the recommendations relating to the amendment of the current family code, with a view to strengthening the system of protection and preservation of the fundamental rights of children.
At the end of this Assembly, the following resolutions and recommendations were adopted: the approval of the League’s draft budget for the 2023 financial year, the adoption of the 2024-2030 strategic program of the League and the implementation of the 2023-2025 multi-annual action program, and the approval of the agreements concluded between the League and its partners.
Resolutions and recommendations were also adopted relating to the establishment of a unified information system, adapted to the needs of the League’s structures, at central and regional levels, the extension of the activities of the mother-child unit of the Lalla Meriem Center in Rabat to other child protection centers and the establishment of good governance mechanisms, with a view to unifying financial and accounting management procedures, at the level of regional offices and the institutions of the League, the press release concluded.
