Maroc Telecom and Inwi announce the formation of Uni Fiber and Uni Tower

Maroc Telecom (IAM) and Inwi (Wana Corporate) announce the effective formation of the joint-ventures”Uni Fiber” and “Uni Tower” with a view to accelerating the rollout of fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) and 5G networks throughout the Kingdom.

The formation of these joint ventures follows on from the agreement between IAM and WANA announced on 27 March 2025, and was authorized by the ANRT in a decision dated 18 June 2025.

The joint ventures will extend broadband internet access:

Uni Fiber will deploy the passive infrastructure needed to provide FTTH services, with a target of 1 million connections in 2 years and 3 million connections in 5 years;

Uni Tower will build new towers or renovate existing ones, with a target of 2,000 towers within 3 years and 6,000 towers within 10 years.

The planned investment amounts to MAD 4.4 billion for the first 3-year phase.

Uni Fiber and Uni Tower will offer open, transparent and non-discriminatory access to their infrastructures to any duly authorized operator, in strict compliance with the regulations in force.
