On Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 4:00 PM, the Democratic Forces Front Party will hold a press conference at Hotel Rabat, where Algerian journalist and writer Anouar Malek will unveil his latest book: “Polisario and Iran: Secrets of Terrorism from Tehran to Tindouf.”
According to a statement received by Moroccan Zoom, this event is part of an ongoing series launched in June 2021 under the theme “Morocco’s Relations with Its Neighbors.” The initiative seeks to encourage critical reflection on the political and historical context of regional challenges to Morocco’s unity and stability.
Malek’s book highlights alleged terrorist links between the Polisario Front and the Iranian regime. Recent developments include Syria’s refusal to release 500 Polisario members imprisoned for their involvement in armed conflict, as well as the closure of Polisario offices in Damascus with Moroccan diplomatic presence.
The party confirmed that this marks the end of the second phase of its intellectual series, with the next publication to focus on human rights abuses in Tindouf. A third phase will address international efforts to designate the Polisario as a terrorist organization.
